Most people have some type of fear. Maybe it is a fear of the dark. Maybe it is a fear of heights. Don't worry. That is completely natural! What many people are afraid of is speaking in public. Many students and adults alike get nervous at the idea of having to address a group of people, whether that group includes their classmates, an audience of parents and teachers, or a room full of business people. In elementary school, students may have to present book reports to their class. In middle school, students may have to present science fair projects or history reports.
So, how can you become more comfortable with the idea of giving a presentation? Let's talk about a few ways to make sure you make it through your presentation without being too nervous.
