Ryan and Gus
Ryan got a puppy. He named the puppy Gus. Ryan needed to teach Gus many things. He taught Gus to sit and to fetch. He taught Gus to ring a bell when he wanted to go outside. Ryan put a red mat next to his bed. He taught Gus to lay there when it was time to nap. "You are a good puppy, Gus," Ryan said. Then Ryan gave Gus a hug.
The Trouble with Farm Animals
My name is Gil. It's not easy living on a farm with so many animals. They always come into the house and do naughty things. Then I get into trouble. Last week, the cookies Mom baked disappeared. She asked me if I knew who ate them. I told her it was the goat. He's always in the kitchen nosing around. Mom laughed and said I had a good imagination. She told me goats do not sneak into kitchens to eat cookies. When I came home from school the other day, Mom asked why my bed was a mess. "I'm sure I made my bed before I left," I said told her as I ran to my room. Sure enough, my bed was a mess. "It must have been the pigs," I told her. "They like rolling around on my bed." Mom just sighed. Today Mom is really upset. Someone used all of her lotion. I told her it was the cow. She's always complaining that her hooves are dry and cracked. Mom tapped her toe. "Enough is enough," Mom cried. "I am going to talk to your father." I think that's a great idea! They are his animals after all.
